AFP Minnesota presents:
Educational Seminar
Entrepreneurs have shaped and reshaped the landscape of business in America and they are doing the same for philanthropy. Research from Bank of America and Center on Philanthropy in 2005 and 2008 has confirmed that entrepreneurs are also the most philanthropically generous people in the country. Twenty to forty times more generous than others who made their wealth in non entrepreneurial activities or amass and hold their wealth through salaries, investments, real estate or any other wealth source.
What are the characteristics of entrepreneurs and how are these contagious messengers reshaping the American philanthropic landscape? What compels them to support not- for-profit organizations? What other assets besides money do they bring to philanthropic table? What turns them on and turns them off related to their investments in philanthropy?
These topics will be explored and characteristics of entrepreneurs will be shared with participants.
