Frank Vascellaro has been a television news anchor in this market for nearly 14 years. Frank debuted with his wife, Amelia, on WCCO 4 News at 6 p.m. in June 2006. They are the first married couple to co-anchor a daily news program in the Twin Cities and one of a handful of husband-and-wife co-anchors in the country. Following Don Shelby’s retirement in November of 2010, Frank and Amelia will anchor the 5, 6, & 10 pm newscasts at WCCO. The Society of Professional Journalists recognized Frank with its broadcast award for Investigative Reporting in 2008. He was also nominated as an anchor for a regional Emmy award in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Frank and Amelia live in Minneapolis with their three children.

Topic: My Philanthropic Biography: Lessons Learned

Lee Anderson is the son of a plumber and native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from Breck High School and from the United States Military Academy (West Point) with a B.S. degree in civil engineering in 1961. Penny Anderson is a native of Chester, Pa. She and Lee married in 1965 and have two adult children and six grandchildren. Lee Anderson is owner and chairman of APi Group, Inc., a St. Paul-based holding corporation of 32 construction, manufacturing and fire-protection companies. In October 2007, Lee and Penny Anderson announced a gift of $60 million to the University of St. Thomas to be used for a new student center, athletic and recreational facilities, and a parking ramp, all which will be named after the couple. It is the largest single gift to a Minnesota college or university in history. Lee and Penny are also the largest individual donors to West Point Military Academy in its more than 200 year history.

All nonprofit organizations purchasing a table or individual tickets to the 2010 National Philanthropy Day event are encouraged to take advantage of the Honor Your Own program.
Honor Your Own provides you with an opportunity to show your donors, board members, volunteers and staff how much you appreciate all that they do to make your organization great.
Cost: $15 per person to honor individual guests at your table
Each of your honorees will receive:
- A lapel flower upon arrival
- Written recognition in the event program
- Recognition by the emcee from the stage

October 29, 2010, is the deadline for submitting honor your own information to the office for your honorees to be included in the program. You may still purchase honor your owns after this time and enjoy all of the other benefits.
Registration
All registrations must be received by November 11, 2010. All names for table purchases are due to the AFP Minnesota Office at that time.
Please note that all cancellations must be received at least 48 hours prior to the event to quality for a refund and that all no-shows will be billed.
