On behalf of the AFP Minnesota Chapter and National Philanthropy Day, we invite nominations for the following awards to be recognized at the Minnesota Chapter's National Philanthropy Day celebration.
Outstanding Professional Fundraiser to individuals who practice his/her profession in an exemplary manner and are an inspiration to others.
Outstanding Philanthropic Organization to businesses, corporations, foundations and/or organizations who have demonstrated outstanding philanthropic commitment.
Outstanding Youth Award to individuals or groups who have shown outstanding philanthropic effort within their community.
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership as a volunteer for a major fundraising project for more than one nonprofit organization.
Outstanding Individual Philanthropist to individuals or families who have demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility and generosity.
Outstanding Legacy Award posthumously awarded to individuals or families as recognition of their generosity and volunteer support.
All nominations must be received by no later than May 1. Please send completed nominations electronically to info@afpminnesota.org. If you require assistance in preparing a nomination, please contact the AFP office at 952-253-6234.
Please review the Award Nomination Packet for a brief description of each award, followed by several questions, and guidelines to assist you in completing your nomination. Any community member may nominate someone for an award. An independent volunteer committee composed of members of Minnesota's philanthropy community reviews all applications.
If the application you submit is selected, your award winner will be honored at National Philanthropy Day with a professionally crafted short tribute video and will be asked to grace to the stage to receive the award and share some brief acceptance remarks with the audience.
The vision of your AFP Minnesota Chapter is to create and foster extraordinary fundraising professionals for an extraordinary philanthropic community. Please take the time to submit a nomination for an individual, couple, organization or corporation you feel demonstrates true philanthropic spirit. It's a wonderful way to honor them and to promote and foster greater public awareness of philanthropy in Minnesota.
