Aileen Kasper

Women’s Foundation of Minnesota
Aileen Kasper is currently serving as the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota’s Senior Development Officer, which means she works with major and planned donors and co-leads the Professional Advisors Network. Aileen’s previous philanthropic experience includes time at the Mayo Clinic and various Twin Cities nonprofits. She helped co-found the Latino Economic Development Center and also the New World School of the Arts Alumni Foundation in her hometown of Miami, Florida. Aileen received her BA from Oberlin College and an MBA from Augsburg University, and she has already served a term as a fellow with Hispanics in Philanthropy’s Next Generation Philanthropy Fellowship.

Elizabeth Day
Community Organizer
Native American Community Development Institute (NACDI)
Elizabeth Day is a filmmaker from Minneapolis. Born on the Leech Lake Reservation and raised in the Twin Cities, Day blends her Native American heritage with her urban upbringing to create films that employ traditional Ojibwe-style storytelling, while using contemporary filmmaking techniques. Her filmmaking has called Elizabeth to her current work in the urban Indian community as a Community Organizer at the Native American Community Development Institute (NACDI). She was also chosen for a 2018 Native American Fellowship in the Interactive Media Department at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, and she has received a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Grant and a Bush Artist Fellowship, among other honors and awards.

Georgina Chinchilla Gonzalez
Grants and Institutional Support Manager
Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
Georgina Chinchilla Gonzalez is the Grants and Institutional Support Manager at the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. With an undergraduate degree in Violin Performance and graduate degree in Musicology, her role at the SPCO combines her love of and experience with music and her interest in serving her community. Prior to joining the SPCO, she worked primarily as a youth work professional. In addition, as a Peace Corps volunteer, she taught English and designed youth empowerment camps in a small village in Jordan. She recently completed an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, where she focused on social entrepreneurship.

Hoang Murphy
Founder and Executive Director
Foster Advocates
Hoang Murphy is the Founder and Executive Director of Foster Advocates, a nonprofit that aims to improve the child welfare system in Minnesota by providing advocacy and organizing for and with former foster care recipients. As a former foster care recipient himself, he knows that impacted youth and families must, and absolutely can, have a seat at the policy-making table. After time spent as a teacher and debate coach in Baltimore, Hoang served as the 2016-17 Public Policy Fellow with the US Department of Education, in the last year of the Obama Administration. Hoang is a native of Greater Minnesota and is a proud first-generation college graduate, with a BA from Syracuse University, where he majored in Policy Studies, and a Master’s in Education from the Johns Hopkins University.

Kenneth Scales
Donor Relations Specialist
Northside Achievement Zone
Kenneth Scales is a Donor Relations Specialist at the Northside Achievement Zone based in North Minneapolis, where he focuses on building strong and productive relationships with supporters for NAZ’s all-in effort to help kids and families lift themselves out of inter-generational poverty. Before he worked in the development office, he spent seven years as a lead Family Achievement Coach, building strong and productive relationships with the families NAZ is serving. Relationship-building is clearly his strength, and, as a fairly new fundraiser, Kenneth is looking forward to learning much more about building philanthropic support for an important mission like that of NAZ.

Mina Kobayashi
Annual Fund Associate
Children’s Theatre Company
Mina Kobayashi is the Annual Fund Associate at Children’s Theatre Company, where she has the opportunity to bring her passion for theatre to building philanthropic support for one of the leading children’s theatres in the country. She has also spent time working with College Possible, based in St. Paul, and TransPerfect Translations, based in New York, New York. She is a board and development committee member for the Minnesota Fringe Festival, and she also helps manage the front of the house for the Park Square Theatre in St. Paul. She is a native New Yorker, Japanese-American, a Colby College graduate, a proud Posse Foundation alumna, and a former AmeriCorps VISTA.
