We are looking for an Associate Director of Philanthropy with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in fundraising to join our growing team. Well-qualified candidates are relational and will exhibit significant success as a fund development generalist with effective communication and writing skills and experience in securing national foundation funding. As part of the Philanthropy team, the Associate Director of Philanthropy is responsible for co-designing and implementing a sustainable fund development strategy to increase philanthropic revenue with a strong emphasis on securing national foundation funding.
This position will share in the responsibility to lead and strategically manage philanthropic activities to achieve organizational revenue and renewal goals. The individual must be able and willing to provide leadership and strategic direction and perform all aspects of the administration and management of fundraising tasks to accomplish our goals; in other words, this position will both map out the work and implement the plan. In addition, this position is responsible for helping to cultivate and grow a culture of philanthropy across Alia.
At least 5 years of fund development experience is required. We are open to all levels of skill and experience for this role and the salary range will depend on your experience and qualifications; salary range: $60,000 - $100,000. - 5+ years of successful nonprofit fundraising experience, including prospecting, soliciting and grant writing
- A proven record of securing donations from a diverse mix of individual donors and foundations
- A consistent track record of creating and executing effective fundraising strategies for diverse revenue streams
- A demonstrated ability for handling multiple, complex fundraising initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to drive innovation, change, and growth
- A detail-oriented implementer who can mobilize teams to translate strategy into results
- Superb relationship management, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills
- The ability to inspire and hold accountable diverse internal and external stakeholders (including funders, peers, leadership, board members, and supporters)
- A strong understanding of technology and information systems pertinent to the role
- An in-depth understanding of major donor fundraising best practices
