Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000

Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization primarily serving the Twin Cities, provides donated furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Bridging gives hope – and for many – a leap toward stability for the first time. With locations in Roseville and Bloomington, Bridging is driven by volunteers and donations of basic home essential items from the community.

Bridging is searching for a Development Coordinator to join its team of passionate, impactful community-minded individuals. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic and tactical business partner to the organization.

The Development Coordinator will report directly to the Development Manager. Bridging has an approximate revenue of $3.2 million, two-thirds of which is contributed income raised by the Development Department. The Development Coordinator will be responsible and accountable for performing at a high-level in the following areas:

ANNUAL GIVING – 50%
Assume a lead role in planning and executing all annual fundraising campaigns. Manage all annual giving communication projects in partnership with Community Relations Department. Includes digital and mail communications for Bridging’s annual fundraising campaigns, including:
  • Spring Appeal Campaign
  • Be the Bridge Summer Fundraising Campaign
  • Year-End Appeal Campaign
  • Give to the Max Day Campaign

FUNDRAISING EVENT MANAGEMENT – 40%
Assume a lead role in planning and executing all fundraising events, including the annual Gala for Bridging and the Bedrace for Bridging. Other activities include:
  • Lead Event Committees
  • Coordinate/Oversee the Gala silent and live auction process
  • Coordinate/Oversee the raffle and specialty fundraising process
  • Own event logistics (event planning/timelines) for two fundraising events
  • Event expense/revenue reporting and budget planning
  • Fundraising Event Guest Recruitment and Management
  • Manage Event Fundraising
  • Manage all event communications projects in coordination with Marketing and Communications Coordinator
  • Manage individual and institutional peer to peer fundraising
  • Recruit, engage and supervise fundraising event volunteers

OTHER RESPONSIBILITES – 10%
  • Give community presentations as needed
  • Manage Quarterly Acknowledgment letter updates in coordination with Donor Database Administrator
  • Assist Development Manager with management of annual Development Plan
  • Regular participation in Development team

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Understanding of and belief in Bridging’s vison and model
  • Mission and values-driven with a strong commitment to equity, dignity, and inclusion

  • 3 – 5 years of demonstrated experience and comfort in fundraising, soliciting for donations, fundraising communications pieces, and planning major fundraising events

  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to managing time-sensitive and competing workloads – skilled in prioritizing and time management
  • A quintessential team player with a willingness to support colleagues outside of one’s primary responsibilities
  • Emotionally intelligent and self-aware, including the ability to both ask for/receive and offer assistance or leadership when and where needed
  • Comfortable with and enjoys cross-team collaboration
  • Open to and appreciative of feedback, responsive to direction and coaching
  • Excellent communicator with an astute eye for written and visual communication, and a comfort level with speaking engagements
  • Enthusiastic self-starter operating with sustained energy and showing great initiative
  • Comfortable working with a diverse base of support and stakeholders, including community leaders, volunteers, donors, other nonprofit organizations, institutional funders, vendors, and corporate partners
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience in Raiser’s Edge preferred.

COMPENSATION
The annual salary range for this role will be $50,000 to $60,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Bridging offers competitive benefits including, but not limited to:
