Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000

The Reel Hope Project harnesses the power of video storytelling to find a forever family for every child in foster care. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced, passionate, and goal-driven individual who excels at relationship building and engaging prospective donors in stories of impact, propelling our team to more effectively serve waiting children and their social work teams.

The Development Manager leads fundraising efforts for The Reel Hope Project including but not limited to grants, major donor and development strategies, and our annual fundraising gala.

The Development Manager reports to the Executive Director.

Schedule: 30 - 40 hours/week, salaried (exempt); Monday - Friday
Location: hybrid
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000, DOQ and hours/week
PTO Bank: 3 Weeks (lump sum, not accrued)
Start date: January 1st, 2023

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engages prospective and current donors
  • Implements strategies to form strong relationships with donors and keep them informed on how their financial contributions are being utilized
  • Manages donor stewardship
  • Works with the full Reel Hope Project team to manage fundraising campaigns and meet annual fundraising and budget goals
  • Develops big donor strategy; speaks into vision and execution of annual fundraising gala
  • Creates reports to analyze and measure the progress towards fundraising goals and campaign effectiveness; reports on development progress to staff, board, and donors
  • Identifies unique funding opportunities
  • Manages corporate gifts and matching sponsors
  • Spearheads and maintains all components of grant submissions
  • Attends all staff meetings (in person each Tuesday)
  • Stays up to date on the child welfare spectrum
  • Stays up to date on fundraising trends
  • Other tasks as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
  • At least three years of fundraising experience, with a proven track record of success interpersonally engaging prospective donors in making charitable commitments
  • Strong history of successful grant writing
  • Strong history of meeting annual fundraising goals
  • Background in fundraising theories, principles and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills; interpersonal, verbal and written
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Little Green Light experience preferred but not required
  • Quickbooks experience preferred but not required
  • Stripe experience preferred but not required
  • Monday.com experience preferred but not required
  • Google Suite proficiency required
