In celebration of Women's History Month, join us for a panel discussion with Women in Executive Nonprofit Leadership- Powerful, inspiring, and honest, these women navigated the path to the top and offer advice for other women looking at continuing to advance in their nonprofit careers. Learn about their successes along the way and the challenges they overcame.

**This event is open to all who wish to hear from these dynamic leaders.

The education session will take place on March 15th from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Feel free to stay on for informal networking after the program.

Gloria Perez

President & CEO, Women's Foundation of Minnesota
Gloria Perez is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota (WFMN), where she leads the first statewide women’s foundation in the country. Since 1983, WFMN has distributed more than $32 million through community investments; conducts ongoing research on the status of women and girls in Minnesota; advocates for public policy that results in greater economic security and safety for women and their families; and invests in organizations and leaders to build the field and achieve gender and racial equity.

CEO, People Serving People
Rinal Ray is the CEO at People Serving People. She leads a dynamic team in responding to the crisis of family homelessness and works to change systems to prevent the experience of family homelessness in Hennepin County. Rinal is a former deputy public policy director for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits where she advanced the organization’s policy agenda at a state and local level, trained leaders on nonprofit advocacy, and lead special legal projects for the statewide association. Rinal currently serves as a co-chair for the Voices & Choices Coalition for Children and is on the Board of College Possible Minnesota. She teaches Nonprofit Advocacy in the Masters in Advocacy and Political Leadership (MAPL) program at Metropolitan State University.

Mala Thao
Vice President, Individual Philanthropy, Greater Twin Cities United Way
As the Associate Vice President of Major Gifts, Mala helps donors become smarter philanthropists and strengthens Greater Twin Cities United Way’s mission to advocate for social good and develop solutions to address the challenges communities face. Mala started her career in philanthropy more than 20 years ago with Women’s Foundation of Minnesota and gained additional fundraising experience in various nonprofits and foundations, such as Washburn Center for Children, Asian American/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, Indian Land Tenure Foundation and American Red Cross. Prior to joining GTCUW, Mala was a philanthropic advisor at Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation for 10 years.

To be accessible to each member of our fundraising community, we’re offering you the option to pay-what-you-can. Your payment helps us honor our speakers time and expertise with a stipend and cover the costs of technology and technical support for promotion, registration, and the session. The average cost per person is about $25. If you would like to assist with covering the cost of the session for another individual, you can enter your payment under the donation section.
