Salary Range: $66,000/per year

About the Position:
The Individual Giving Officer builds meaningful relationships and gains vital funding from individual donors. They will work with the Development Director to create annual goals and strategies for raising individual support, while following the Community Centric Fundraising principles. The Individual Giving Officer also supervises the Volunteer Coordinator and Development Coordinator, creating a streamlined approach to individual donor, volunteer, and in-kind donor strategies and approach. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities for Individual Giving Officer:
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors
  • Acknowledge donor contributions in meaningful ways
  • Project manage annual fund strategies and campaigns, including online strategies, in conjunction with the communications team
  • Instill Community Centric Fundraising Principles in all strategies and communications so guests are represented with dignity and anti-racist and anti-classist lenses are always used
  • Collaborate with board and committee members on individual giving activities
  • In conjunction with the communications team, lead the planning and execution of individual giving strategy for fundraising events
  • Provide excellent stewardship to donors while also prioritizing People Serving People’s needs, goals, mission, and ethics
  • Maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce, implement improvements to donor records systems as needed, and run and analyze donation reports
  • Work closely with development team members to meet overall development goals, engage in department efforts, support co-workers, and contribute to a cohesive, close team

Qualifications for Individual Giving Officer:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent four years of experience
  • Two or more years’ experience in a non-profit development role
  • Knowledge of Twin Cities Philanthropic environment and individual donor processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal, research, writing, and presentation skills
  • Dedication to representing our guests and clients with respect and dignity
  • Familiarity using a database for fund management
  • Demonstrated commitment to issues of homelessness, poverty, social justice
  • Comfortable with public speaking and meeting facilitation
  • Strong racial equity lens and cultural humility
  • Strong adaptive, interpersonal, and written communicator
