Speakers:
Amy Alkire serves as Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Augsburg University, where she leads the major and planned giving team. She works closely with campus partners, campaign volunteers and Regents. She spear-headed the volunteer-led effort to incorporate new works of art in the Hagfors Center for Science, Business, and Religion, all funded through philanthropic gifts. Prior to 2013 when she joined Augsburg, Amy worked in major gifts at Children's Minnesota and Concordia University, St Paul. Before moving into development, she taught middle and high school for eight years. Amy lives with her husband Kjel in her hometown of Lake City, MN, where she serves on the city council and the local education foundation board. In her free time, Amy plays organ at her small country church, takes the three dogs for long walks with her daughter and attempts to throw a spiral to her football-loving son.

Sarah Erkkinen joined Augsburg in June, 2017 and serves as Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Sarah is responsible for leading Augsburg's principal gifts program, developing and executing campaign initiatives, directing the efforts of the Sesquicentennial Campaign Chair and campaign volunteer leaders and connecting with a broad base of Augsburg’s leadership benefactors. Sarah has 18 years of organizational development experience including leadership positions with Concordia University in St. Paul, Lundstrum Performing Arts in North Minneapolis and The Arc of Minnesota. Sarah received a bachelor’s degree in music from Concordia University, St. Paul. She sings and performs vocally and instrumentally occasionally, volunteers with her church and children's school and resides in Roseville with her husband, two children and a boxer dog named Hildegard. Sarah believes whole-heartedly in the power of philanthropy and wishes she could be more like Ted Lasso.
