The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Coordinator III - Annual Giving position within the Department of University Advancement.

-Monday-Thursday 1pm-9pm
-Sunday 11am-8pm; there is an hour-long break in-between calling shifts from 3:30-4:30pm.
-As time goes on, some of these hours can be done remotely
-During the summer months and J-Term the schedule for this position can shift to more of an 8am-5pm schedule.

Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Annual Giving Coordinator will assist in providing administrative support to all programs within the Annual Giving department. The Annual Giving Coordinator will participate in planning and management of all aspects of the Engagement Center and assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of all student engagement ambassadors, (currently, there are 35). The Annual Giving Coordinator will respond to or appropriately direct all concerns voiced by constituents, and devise and implement strategies for industry-surpassing rates of pledge fulfillment. In addition, the Annual Giving Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Director and Assistant Director of Annual Giving on all aspects of Tommie Give Day.

-Supervision of Student Employees – Assist with hiring, orientating, training, scheduling, and managing the performance of student supervisors and callers to produce high-quality, well-informed student ambassadors and student interns.
-Daily Engagement Center Operations – Prepare for and supervise nightly and weekend calling shifts. Provide on-going direction and training for callers. Develop goals and incentives for achieving record-setting revenue. Create a positive work environment with engaging and motivating team-building activities. Process all pledges and ensure proper donor follow-up. Ensures completed sustainer paperwork is submitted timely to the Compliance Office. Serve as the primary contact for Engagement Center vendors and internal ITS colleagues.
-Engagement Center Strategy – In coordination with the Director, evaluate Engagement Center performance. Continually monitor the effectiveness of strategies involving calling pools, scripts, and goal setting, and make strategic, innovative recommendations for improvement. Create calling pools in consultation with internal colleagues on annual strategy. Strategically assign calling pools and segments.
-Annual Giving Programs – Provide administrative support for Tommie Give Day, sustaining donor program and omnichannel communication. Support Annual Giving pipeline development by educating the broad base of alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends on the importance and impact of donors’ philanthropic support.
-Student Philanthropy Project – Responsible for student recruitment, oversight, event support and implementation of best practices. Provide direction and support for student fundraising and education program coordinated through the Engagement Center. Review, edit, and approve student social media communications.
-RNL System Support – Review output reports, track system outages, and recommend changes. Works with RNL, Development Systems, and ITS to prepare for calling shifts and segments being worked.
-Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
-High school education or equivalent
-Four years of administrative support experience
-Willing to work a Monday-Thursday 1pm-9pm and Sunday 11am-8pm schedule 9 months out of the year.
-Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or eligible for legally required exemption such as a medical or religious reason

Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree
-Development, fundraising, or telemarketing experience
-Administrative support experience in Higher Education
