The Development Operations Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, project management, systems, and fundraising support for all aspects of donor relations and operations. They are responsible for managing accurate records within the donor database, performing tasks associated with donor relations, and overseeing the processing and acknowledgement of gifts. This position will play an integral role with special events and other department needs associated with scheduling, presentation-building, cultivation of reports, and more.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong administrative and organizational skills, superb attention to detail and deadlines, a strong ability to track and prioritize tasks, and excellent oral and written communication skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Serves as the lead point of contact for the Microsoft CRM database, ensuring donor data and records within the system are kept up to date in support of the broader development team’s fundraising efforts.
  • Provides support for fundraising programs including donor appeals, constituent tracking, relationship management, moves management, fund management, and stewardship.
  • Manages the gift entry process which includes but is not limited to depositing gifts and contributions with speed and accuracy to ensure the acknowledgment and receipt of gifts within a timely basis.
  • Monitors and records gift pledges and pledge reminders associated with all giving from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Serves as department point of contact to receive, evaluate, and disperse website generated leads of prospective donors.
  • In collaboration with department leadership, prepare and deliver donor reports, presentations, and other materials as required for donor for meetings. Assist in the preparation of donor mailings, grant applications, and other fundraising proposals.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and other events, including managing guest lists, registration, and other event logistics.
  • Assists development team with scheduling key donor prospect meetings and other meetings beneficial to the fundraising success of the department.
  • Provides research and background on current and prospective donors and partners to help advance relationships and opportunities, partnering with team members on outreach execution when necessary.
  • Handles special requests to address donor needs, implements processes and systems, mitigates risk, and supports donor relations and recognition programs; handles data management, including monitoring and maintaining data integrity, updating donor records, and producing lists for solicitations and other donor communications.
  • Provides administrative support and back up to the department as needed for various initiatives including events, fundraising campaigns, etc.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to communicate, listen to and understand information and ideas presented.
  • Prior experience with fundraising CRM software such as Microsoft CRM, Raiser’s Edge, etc.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Able to manage competing deadlines and prioritize appropriately, and to assess and match work process needs and solutions.
  • General financial budget or accounting skills; ability to identify and communicate trends and analyze and highlight the most relevant and helpful information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and provide a high level of service for donors and colleagues; ability to train and motivate others in a positive and supportive way.
  • Strong analytical skills: able to interpret and compare data to form meaningful insights.
  • Results-oriented, motivated to meet or exceed individual and shared goals and support others in doing the same.
  • Minimum of two to three years successful relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; demonstrated commitment to continued personal and professional development.


PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft CRM database.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data query optimization techniques.

Familiarity with prospect research and management strategies, activities, and best practices.

Full Pay range: Non-Exempt ($20.63 - $25.77 - $30.91)
This is the pay range for our staff in this position, from entry to fully independent and proficient in the role utilizing our propriety systems and processes. The candidate selected for this position will be offered a wage applicable to their background and skill set as aligned to our business. This will result in an initial offer between $20.63 - $25.50 per hour for this position.
