Regional Development Manager

unCommon Construction | Minneapolis, MN
Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

unCommon Construction (“uCC”) is currently seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and goal-oriented Regional Development Manager (RDM) to help unCommon raise at least $2,000,000 in regional fundraising annually. The ideal candidate will be a skilled individual with strong external relations experience at the intersection of youth advocacy, fundraising, and communications. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to translate high-level strategy into tactical implementation in the areas of fundraising and communications, and bring experience in overseeing integrated campaigns to support fundraising goals and objectives for nonprofit organizations.

The RDM is a hybrid role that will report directly to the Director of Development and work closely with the Executive Director, key staff, and consultants to support the critical work of attracting, securing, and sustaining financial resources for the organization. Successful candidates for this position will ideally be familiar with the fundraising landscapes in New Orleans and/or Minneapolis, be quick to learn/immerse in new locations, and will have significant work experience with the tools, materials, and methods involved in development and communications work, as well as a strong belief in uCC’s mission. Prior grant writing and reporting experience is a must.

The most important part of the RDM’s job is to maintain and expand regional philanthropic relationships for our sites in New Orleans and Minneapolis, and to support development and communications functions for the organization as it expands to additional cities. This includes but is not limited to corporate, foundation, and individual giving streams as well as giving campaigns and promotional partnerships. The Manager must be comfortable using data and information to execute, facilitate, and manage prospecting donors, routine grant reporting, donor stewardship, and other time-sensitive tasks related to the donor cultivation cycle. They are responsible for confidential and time-sensitive materials and must have the ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, and video-conference, ensuring that all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
