Responsible for all fundraising activities to support the mission of the organization.*a) Annual Giving d) Major Gifts g) Grant Writingb) Fundraising events e) Capital Campaign h) Corporate Sponsorshipsc) Planned Giving f) Earned Income2. Communicate expectations about fundraising to staff and volunteers.*3. Establish and maintain organizational relationships with major donors.*4. Develop, oversee, and manage fundraising budget.*5. Manage direct reports, complete annual direct report staff performance evaluations.*6. Work with Director of Operations to ensure behind-the-scenes support is adequate.*7. Work with Director of Training to ensure funding sources are aligned with program needs.*8. Work with Executive Director to ensure overall financial goals are aligned with mission.*9. Other duties as assigned.*Denotes essential functions of this position.Required Qualifications:ExperienceKnowledge of and experience in directing organizational fundraising, managing fundraising events, capital campaigns, planned giving/annual giving, and foundation grants. This position requires public speaking, experience in managing people, using a telephone and computer to perform work, and working with deadlines. These qualifications are typically obtained by five or more years of related work experience. A valid driver’s license and insurability are required.Knowledge of and experience in client relations, working with persons with disabilities, membership in Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and fluency in American Sign Language are preferred.EducationA Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five or more years of related experience, a Master’s Degree in Fundraising and four or more years of related experience, or ten or more years of related experience, or some variation of the above.Expected Working Conditions** for This Position Frequency1.
