Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000


Sustained financial support is critical to our ability to meet our mission of meeting basic needs and equipping individuals and families for ongoing stability. IOCP is searching for its next Advancement Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead a team of 6-8 talented individuals. You are a leader who enjoys management, support and mentorship of your team as you take your work to the next level, together, in order to meet IOCP’s fundraising goals. You genuinely enjoy meeting with community members to learn about their connection to IOCP while stewarding financial gifts to advance our mission. We want to hear from you!

A Peek at What You’ll Do

  • Revenue Growth-Team Leadership-Strategic Leadership
  • Take a highly visible and active role in leading all aspects of Interfaith Outreach’s contributed revenue, including donor solicitation, planned giving, events, annual fund, constituent fundraising, grants, and sponsorships.
  • Ensure systems for stewardship and donor management are leading edge and strategically leveraged.
  • Ensure that Interfaith Outreach remains a vibrant and open place to work; practice active listening and collaboration; demonstrate a “service-oriented” mentality towards both external stakeholders and Interfaith Outreach colleagues; foster and encourage an “open-door” policy with all employees; be hungry for new ideas among employees, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Hold all employees accountable for their performance and always has an eye on the data to inform their intuition.
  • Articulate strategic vision authentically and compellingly to Interfaith Outreach Executive Director, Board, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, vision, and framework to develop, revise, improve, and implement strategic goals in line with Interfaith Outreach’s mission.
  • Provide leadership in developing Interfaith Outreach’s short and long-range financial plans with the Executive Director and peers, in line with the organization's mission.

External Relations

  • Serve as a “face” of Interfaith Outreach, nurturing relationships with donors and the broader community as well as public sector, private sector and nonprofit stakeholders.
  • Work with staff to develop key marketing strategies and activities that increase the awareness and reputation of Interfaith Outreach; tell the incredible story of Interfaith Outreach and how it can serve the needs of the region and a variety of clients and stakeholders.
  • Promote volunteer engagement to support the human capital needs of the organization. 


Requirements You MUST Bring

  • Five years of senior leadership experience in a mission-driven organization where strategic thinking and organizing occurred in a team environment
  • Five years of experience in fund development
  • Knowledge and experience of fund development strategies and practices
  • Ability to network and develop community partnerships
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skill in strategy development and deployment, defining organizational goals and assessing internal and external environmental factors
  • Ability to collaborate with others to arrive at a conclusion utilizing compromise, persuasion, rationale and diplomacy
  • Ability to effectively present information to donors, board members, volunteers, organizational leaders, associates and public groups
  • Ability to generate imaginative solutions based on research and professional experiences
  • Must have access to reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and safe driving record and be willing to travel between work sites
