Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 depending on experience and qualifications

Make a difference for Northside youth - Lundstrum Performing Arts is seeking a Campaign Manager to support expansion of program and facilities at its performing arts training center based in North Minneapolis. This is a full-time, in-office position in a growing company with full benefits.

Purpose: Work with Managing Director and members of Board and Capital Campaign Steering Committee to complete major fundraising campaign for campus expansion and endowment. The Campaign Manager will work closely with the Managing Director, Executive Director, Capital Campaign Steering Committee, and the Board of Directors to carry out a broad-based fundraising plan targeting individuals, foundations, corporations and government agencies to support this initiative. This is a four-year position tied to the Capital Campaign, with option to transition to future Development role at the conclusion of the campaign.

Primary Duties and Major Activities:

  1. Campaign Strategy, Management and Reporting
    • Help lead strategy development and planning of the campaign, working collaboratively with Managing Director, Executive Director and Capital Campaign Steering Committee.
    • Working with lead staff, committee, and consultant, implement and manage campaign plans, tactics and budgets.
    • Manage campaign prospect lists
    • Plan and implement campaign cultivation and recognition events, including developing invitations and lists, managing event logistics, set-up, food/beverage as needed, and followup.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for campaign leadership
  2. Campaign Communications
    • Plan and implement campaign print, web and social media communication materials
    • Create content about campaign for newsletters, blogs and other communications, including talking points for events.
    • Maintain visual assets (photos, videos, schematic drawings) related to campaign and have available for proposals and presentations, as needed
  3. Donor Cultivation and Solicitation
    • Maintain a portfolio of 50-70 major gift donors, working closely with development team to manage relevant donor information and ensure its confidentiality and accurate record-keeping in database.
    • Develop and implement customized cultivation plans and solicitation strategies
    • Work with senior staff and Capital Campaign committee to solicit key prospects.
    • Follow up solicitations with appropriate donor recognition and acknowledgement activities.
  4. Other Responsibilities
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Qualifications

  • Commitment to organization mission
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent technology skills, including Microsoft Office, experience with Development CRM, Salesforce experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in fundraising with track record of success
  • Experience with capital campaigns and direct development experience soliciting donors
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Strong time management skills – self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, capable of working effectively with board members, key staff members, volunteers, and donors/prospects.
  • Professional and courteous presence, on phone, via email, and in person, ability to work with a wide variety of people, ease in initiating contacts with other groups
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Available some evenings and weekends for selected campaign events.
