Loyola Catholic School in Mankato, Minnesota is a Catholic preschool through 12 grade school serving 490 students from the dioceses of Winona-Rochester and New Ulm. Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have successful fundraising experience with cultivating, engaging, and expanding donor relationships with a wide variety of donors. In addition, strong candidates will have experience in institutional development, working with and connecting to a large and diverse community, and demonstrated strengths in interpersonal skills and collaboration. Successful applicants will have experience and familiarity with Catholic education and a commitment to advancing the holistic development of every student in accordance with the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church.

The Director of Development will serve as a member of the school’s leadership team, reporting to the principal and school leader.

Responsibilities and Expectations
• Manage and successfully grow the school’s annual fund
• Serve as the school’s liaison to the Schola Foundation, an independent foundation supporting Loyola Catholic School
• Solicit major and planned gifts for the Schola Foundation
• Expand the school leader’s donor portfolio and ensure donor relationships are maintained
• Oversee and support the execution of four (4) annual fundraising events
• Manage and expand alumni relations
• Supervise and develop three (3) development staff members

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years non-profit experience, fundraising responsibilities strongly preferred
• One (1) year of non-profit management
• Successful record of progressive fundraising
• Knowledge of and experience in a Catholic school environment strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to oversee, manage and motivate people while also acting as a professional mentor to build on the skills and strengths of others
