Work under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship to: manage a portfolio of highly engaged mid-level donors and large segments of annual fund donors to secure revenue in excess of $750,000 annually; conduct discovery and stewardship outreach to new, prospective and existing donors to ensure Catholic Charities is engaging donors in meaningful and strategic ways and moving donors up the engagement pipeline; provide timely and accurate responses to donor’s needs; serve on the annual giving team working side-by-side in partnership with the Director to engage high-level annual fund donors, execute key engagement strategies, and take the lead on key fundraising events and strategies like, Give to the Max Day , workplace giving program and event donor engagement strategy; cultivate donors to deepen engagement with Catholic Charities, solicit donors to ensure retention of current donors and work to recapture lapsed donors; create and implement strategies to manage donor relationships and donor segments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Manage a portfolio of highly engaged mid-level donors who have made or have the capacity to make gifts of $1000 or more.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with donors to deepen engagement with the organization and increase the size of their contributions.
  3. Work in close collaboration and partnership with the Director of Annual Giving and Stewardship to implement key annual giving strategies like Give to the Max Day, workplace giving program and event donor engagement.
  4. Conduct discovery calls and outreach to qualify new and prospective donors for assignment to gift officer managed portfolios.
  5. Engage mid-level donors through segmented outreach to donors based on program interest, giving cadence, giving vehicle and engagement preference.
  6. Steward donors by completing regularly scheduled gift thank you calls, mailing stewardship pieces 3-4 times per fiscal year, and periodically sharing client stories.
  7. Conduct cultivations calls to invite donors to meet with a gift officer, tour program sites, participate in volunteer and advocacy opportunities, and attend annual events.
  8. Solicit donors 4-6 times per fiscal year to increase donor’s contributions and make a planned gift.
  9. Network with top-tier donors to identify and acquire like-minded prospective donors.
  10. Utilize Salesforce database to manage donor relationships and create and implement strategies for donor engagement.
  11. Participate in ongoing portfolio review working within the structure of Moves Management to determine if a donor should be managed through the Annual Fund or by a Major and Planned Giving Officer.
  12. Responsible for reviewing and ensuring the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of data, and reporting the data for purposes of accountability and client outcomes.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent fundraising experience in lieu of degree.
One (1) year of annual fund and portfolio management experience preferred.
Experience communicating with donors about planned giving preferred.
Strong ability to execute strategies to achieve development revenue goals.
Willingness to work occasional early mornings, nights and/or weekends for events and donor meetings.
Must demonstrate mature judgment, initiative and the ability to make independent and effective decisions.
Strong philanthropic interest in and passion for the mission of Catholic Charities and an eagerness to share enthusiasm with individual donors required.
Strong ability to work individually and as a team member required with a demonstrated ability to set strategic goals, measure success, and report results.
Strong oral and written communication skills required with a demonstrated ability to communicate with donors in person or via phone, email, mail, etc.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Salesforce experience preferred.
Ability to work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and identify with the mission, goals, and objectives of Catholic Charities.
