Full Job Description
Summary
The Advancement Database Manager is a key operational position responsible for managing the donor database, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT. This role’s main responsibilities include processing private financial contributions, facilitating donor acknowledgement letters, ensuring proper data hygiene, analyzing trends and statistics to guide fundraising efforts, providing reliable reporting, and adhering to best practices. The ideal candidate is well-organized and can be flexible within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

In addition to leading data process, analysis and reporting for the department, this role will supervise the Advancement and Communications Coordinator on day-to-day responsibilities of gift processing and acknowledgement letters, including checks, on-line donations, and third-party donation platforms. In addition to overseeing deposits, EFT, and pledge gift entry.

This role will be supervised by the Director of Advancement and Communications and will work closely with five team members, including the Donor Relations Mangers, Private Grants Manager, Content and Communications Specialist, and Advancement and Communications Coordinator. This position will be a part of the agency’s leadership team and interact with the Finance and Volunteer Engagement departments. The Advancement and Communications team is responsible for acquiring resources and building capacity to advance Simpson Housing Services’ mission to house, support, and advocate for people experiencing homelessness.

Simpson Housing Services offers a hybrid work model with a flexible work schedule. This position will occasionally work evenings and weekends.
