Position Summary:
The Corporate Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue from sponsorship sales through identifying, cultivating, and building relationships with corporate and organizational partners. Primary responsibilities include following strategic direction for growth, acquisition, retention, fulfillment, and increased engagement of new and existing corporate sponsors to meet department and division goals and priorities.
We are looking for a top sales producer with strong consultative sales skills and a proven track record in prospecting, business development, and client relations. In addition, this person should excel in developing, negotiating, selling integrated marketing campaigns, event exhibits, and sponsorships.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify and cultivate target corporate and organizational prospects; network to meet or exceed forecasted corporate sponsorship revenue targets.
- Build relationships to create internal and external partnerships that will further the mission of the department to meet Zoo and Zoo Foundation goals and priorities.
- Manage day-to-day operation of sponsorships to ensure smooth, efficient operation.
- Organize and delegate work tasks to meet deadlines while ensuring tools are in place to reach result efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
- 5-7 Years of Sponsorship / Partnership marketing and sales experience
- High attention to detail, strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Demonstrated business acumen with a proven track record of delivering above and beyond annual revenue targets
- Rounded knowledge of sales enablement tools & software, including Microsoft office and CRMS
- A valid driver's license, with a safe driving record, and the ability to travel to offsite meetings with donors and prospects
- High degree of integrity, ethical decision-making, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Creative, flexible problem-solving approach with proficiency in oral and written communication, proposal ideation and creation, and contract negotiation.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Physical Demands: Required to use a computer and phone; Frequent use of hands for data entry/keystrokes and simple grasping
- May need to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required and must be capable of planning and managing independent travel
- This position is a hybrid position, and will be 20% in the office and 80% telework or offsite, frequently requiring private transportation by the employee to offsite prospect and donor visits
