The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity invites qualified candidates to apply for an Associate Director of Donor and Alumni Engagement.

THE SAINT PAUL SEMINARY SCHOOL OF DIVINTY
The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity (SPSSOD) is operated under an affiliation agreement between the University of St. Thomas, the Saint Paul Seminary and the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The vision, mission and core values are as follows:

JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Director of Donor and Alumni Engagement is a senior advancement position responsible for the coordination and ongoing development of a comprehensive donor and alumni engagement program. This position works closely with the Director of Advancement in designing systems of engagement and interfaces with other directors of the seminary in engaging benefactors and alumni.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major Gift Program

  • Develop systems and processes to increase engagement with current major donors and major donor prospects.
  • Direct activities to identify and prioritize prospects and donors for research, cultivation, and solicitation.
  • Coordinate prospect management meetings to create alignment and ensure progress toward institutional goals.
  • Maintain a portfolio of 50-75 prospects
  • Utilize events to invite major donor participation.


Stewardship Program

  • Oversee and develop a comprehensive donor stewardship program, including activities and events for major and sustaining benefactors, including regular writing and editing of acknowledgment letters.
  • Develop and implement, with major gift advancement team, a systematic and personalized cultivation program for assigned prospects.


Marketing

  • Serve as creative lead for all advancement marketing materials (brochures, appeals, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Marketing/Communications team


Alumni Program

  • Develop and direct programs to more actively engage alumni of SPSSOD.
  • Interface with other directors of the seminary to foster and coordinate institutional engagement with alumni.
  • Respond to inquiries from alumni.


QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years of advancement or related experience, including fund-raising management and major gift solicitations
  • Must be familiar with and comfortable working with the Catholic philanthropic and ecclesial community.


An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skill have been acquired may be substituted.
