Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000

Job Overview: Working closely with the CEO, the Chief Advancement Officer is responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising and engagement strategies to meet the National Eagle Center’s goals for growing involvement and operations, special projects, and capital contributions, memberships, grants, sponsorships, and event participation and income.

Reports To: CEO

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development of goals, objectives, and requisite plans to increase and retain relationships, memberships, capital and operational contributions, grants, and sponsorships.
  • Guide the Center’s CEO with the development and management of her prospect and donor portfolio.
  • Personally manage and grow higher-level donor and member relationships.
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of capital campaigns and special projects.
  • Coordinate volunteer committees and partners to effectuate positive experiences and outcomes for fundraising activities.
  • Plan, package, and provide innovative, effective, and impactful appeals and stewardship materials and plans.
  • Plan and execute annual fundraising and cultivation and stewardship events and activities.
  • With contract personnel assure growth and proper management of, grant submissions, reporting, evaluation, and income.
  • With Marketing & Communications Director produce quarterly newsletter, annual report, and other appropriate printed and social media and materials.
  • Maintain responsibility for the effective and appropriate use, oversight, and management of donor and member databases.
  • Design and present effective metrics for assessment of all advancement programs; present analysis and ROI as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Passion for the National Eagle Center’s mission and its varied programs
  • Five or more years fundraising and/or membership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Extremely well-organized, goal-oriented, and very high attention to detail
  • Expertise in relationship development and effective customer service required
  • Skilled at writing promotional materials and developing content
  • Expertise in marketing and social media/online fundraising preferred
  • Experience with Blackbaud database systems preferred
  • Cultivation and special event experience preferred
  • Willing to learn and adept at proposing innovative ideas and opportunities
  • Graphic design sensibility a plus
  • Availability for evenings and weekends for special events and donor interaction

Full-time, exempt position; compensation commensurate with experience.
