Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000

Looking for an experienced Prospect Development Strategist to enhance our philanthropy teams.

Pay: $55,000- $60,000 based on experience

Schedule: Full Time - 40 hours per week

Location: Once onboarded, the person in this position will have the opportunity to work remotely for the bulk of their time. Access to reliable internet, ability to prioritize work independently, and foster relationships while working in a hybrid (remote and in-person) environment required. Must live in or have easy access to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and be available for frequent face-to-face interactions in Minneapolis/St. Paul and greater Minnesota regions

Job Purpose: You are responsible for identifying prospects and the development of research on prospects in support Relational Giving team’s unrestricted revenue growth and capital campaign goals.

What you will be doing:
Strategy — Convene and lead regular portfolio review and prospect strategy sessions to ensure appropriate composition of portfolios.Provide consistent high-quality research analysis used to inform engagement and solicitation strategies.  

Research — Identify and qualify prospective major individual, corporation, and foundation donors through data mining, wealth screening, and ad-hoc research. Stay informed of developments in ethics and technology related to prospect research in philanthropy.

Reporting — Utilize data to produce relevant reporting related to portfolio and prospect performance.

Support — Support the creation and modification of portfolios and the ongoing development of a robust prospect pipeline. Maintain Moves Management manual and perform routine audits to ensure policies are being followed. Participates in the administration and configuration of the prospect management components of the Advancement CRM.

Communication — Foster an environment of open communication and approachability. Convey information in a clear, complete, and timely manner, consistent with brand standards and organizational messaging. Listen, pay attention, and be a responsible steward of information.

What we are looking for:
Experience — Minimum of 3 years of experience in prospect research, prospect management, and/or prospect analytics.

Computer Skills — Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and prospect management tools. Ideal candidates are proficient in fundraising databases/CRMs.

Schedule — Regular, predictable attendance, punctuality, and availability to work during administrative operations hours as defined by management with flexibility to work an occasional evening or weekend shift.

Adaptability — Ability to work in a professional and positive manner with high attention to detail in a variety of situations.

Communication — Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must have ability to work as a member of the team and partner collaboratively with external and internal customers and departments.

Physical & Emotional Capabilities — Must be able to handle the physical and emotional aspect of work in an animal shelter environment, including the use of euthanasia.
