Salary Range: $74,000 - $84,000

Our achievements include the $10 million “Making Waves” capital campaign which expanded our infrastructure and solidified our status as leaders in environmental education at the local, national, and international levels.

  • Individual giving: Unrestricted contributions have grown by 69% from FY 19/20 to FY 23/24.
  • Foundation support: Increased by 41.5% over the same period.
  • Planned giving: Our Leaders of the Pack Planned Giving Program has secured over $2 million in bequests, ensuring Wolf Ridge’s impact for generations to come.


Our base of support is robust and enduring. With over 175 schools participating annually, many for more than a decade, program and contributed income each account for stable and equal shares of our budget, ensuring a solid foundation for future growth.

We are seeking a full-time Development Director to build upon this strong foundation. This leader will increase support for operations, programs, and future initiatives. With specific attention to:

  • Deepening relationships with existing donors.
  • Expanding donor acquisition efforts.
  • Launching a new sponsorship program.


We are looking for a passionate professional who shares our commitment to nature, education, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in donor acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship while embracing best practices in fundraising.

Experience: A four-year college degree is preferred. The candidate will have a minimum of five years of proven experience in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donors and volunteers. A minimum of two years of experience managing staff or volunteers is necessary for the position as is project management experience. The position is intended to be based in the Twin-Cities.

In addition, preference is given for a candidate experienced in:

  • Planned giving and/or building an endowment.
  • Special events planning.
  • Experience promoting products and services.
  • Building a sponsorship program.
  • Developing digital strategies to cultivate and acquire support.
  • Experience successfully working remotely.
