WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Common Hope is seeking an organized, relationship-focused professional to support the day-to-day operations of our recurring giving programs, including Sponsorship and Pathway—our membership program.
The ideal candidate enjoys communicating with donors, sponsors, and volunteers and understands how thoughtful, timely, and accurate service strengthens long-term relationships.
This person will combine strong interpersonal skills with careful follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities and deadlines.
This is an opportunity for someone with experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, donor services, sponsorship, customer service, or project coordination to help create a meaningful and positive experience for Common Hope’s supporters.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Recurring Giving Coordinator provides operational and administrative support for Common Hope’s Recurring Giving and Sponsorship programs.
This position coordinates donor communications, recurring gift administration, sponsorship operations, volunteer engagement, and database management to ensure an exceptional donor experience and the accurate execution of fundraising activities.
Working closely with the Recurring Giving Manager, the Coordinator helps strengthen donor retention, support the recruitment of new recurring donors and sponsors, and maintain timely, meaningful communication between donors, sponsors, volunteers, and the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate donor acknowledgments, welcome communications, renewals, upgrades, and stewardship activities.
• Assist with recurring donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, and upgrade activities.
• Respond to routine donor and sponsor inquiries and coordinate timely follow-up.
• Monitor recurring gifts and sponsorship payments, following up or escalating issues as appropriate.
• Coordinate culturally appropriate correspondence and translation activities between sponsors and students.
• Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and support volunteers assisting with translation, correspondence, mailings, gifts, and other projects.
• Maintain accurate donor, sponsor, student, and volunteer information in Raiser’s Edge and other organizational systems.
• Prepare recurring operational reports, donor communications, fundraising materials, and presentations.
• Coordinate timelines and logistics for recurring giving campaigns.
• Work with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate records, timely communications, and effective sponsorship and recurring giving operations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, donor services, sponsorship, customer service, or project coordination.
• Experience supporting donor stewardship or fundraising activities is preferred.
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience with sponsorship or child sponsorship programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of monthly giving, donor stewardship, and fundraising best practices is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in the context of Latin American or Guatemalan communities.
