Position Summary
The Director of Corporate Sponsorship is responsible for securing funding in support of PBS Wisconsin, including programming, local production, PBS Wisconsin Focus Funds, expos, events, and special projects. This development and/or sales professional works with the business community to grow support for PBS Wisconsin’s services while stewarding donor and stakeholder relationships. The position reports to PBS Wisconsin’s managing director of corporate giving and events and closely collaborates with the department’s coordinator, other corporate sponsorship representatives at PBS Wisconsin and Wisconsin Public Radio, and the sponsorship video producer.

Salary Information
The starting hourly rate for this unclassified position will be $29.00-$33.66 depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. This position is assigned to pay schedule/range 81-03.

Job Details
Due to the nature of the position, ECB will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. ECB does not sponsor work visas. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.

The ability to travel regularly and frequently within assigned region is a requirement of this position. The incumbent must possess a valid Wisconsin driver license that meets the State’s Risk Management requirements or the ability to obtain reliable transportation on a consistent basis.

The ability to work some evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight travel is also required.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have experience in:
  • Meeting corporate sales and/or fundraising goals in a client services, sales, or marketing intensive environment.
  • Communicating a broad range of development and programmatic initiatives to external stakeholders.

In addition, well qualified applicants will also have:
  • Experience in public broadcasting
