Today, Neighborhood House has big dreams and we need help to achieve them. Therefore, we are adding a Campaign Coordinator to our team to help us launch a $20-$25 million capital campaign to meet the needs of our participants in the six neighborhoods we serve.

The Neighborhood House Campaign Coordinator will be a member of our Development & Communications team. Neighborhood House has a staff of nearly 70 people, nine of them in our growing Development & Communications department. We are a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about our work and the families and neighborhoods we serve. We like to roll up our sleeves and collaborate in our attempt to solve big problems. We believe that innovation and risk lead to learning and success.

The Position
The Campaign Coordinator will play an important role in our capital campaign, which is entering the quiet phase. Working closely with the Director of Development & Communications, the Campaign Coordinator will assist with all aspects of the campaign, providing the project management, committee support, organization, tracking, and communications to keep us on track to meet the goals of the campaign.

Donor Coordination
• Document pipeline and task assignments, track prospects and maintain timelines
• Schedule meetings, assemble presentations and meeting materials for Board members, Campaign Cabinet, campaign volunteers and staff
• Write campaign correspondence including solicitation proposals, meeting requests, email updates and meeting follow up
• Prepares materials needed for major donor meetings: customizes and updates materials and prepares package of materials for donor meetings as directed by solicitors
• Maintain master campaign calendar to maximize cultivation events and keep campaign committee on track
• Organize and monitor volunteer assignments and follow-up, and assisting in all aspects of volunteer-led events
• Schedule and manage logistics for donor visits for the President, development staff, Board, and volunteers
• Track and report on expenses; complete purchase requests and credit card reports

Events Coordination:
• Assist with planning all aspects of the capital campaign launch and other organization/campaign events
• Assist with planning and implementing campaign cultivation events.
• Work with Communications team to create and distribute invitations, announcements, and other campaign communications to the public

Campaign Database Coordination:
• Research donor information and giving history
• Enter planned asks and other proposal information
• Run campaign proposal and progress reports
• Enter contact reports to track conversations and meetings

Campaign Communications
• Follow up with pledge commitments and past due pledges
• Work with the database administrator to prepare and update dashboards to show progress of campaign
• Work with Development team to ensure that gifts are acknowledged with appropriate recognition and appreciation
• Respond to emails and phone calls as needed

Committee / Board Management
• Prepare agendas and materials for Campaign Committee Meetings
• Document and distribute meeting minutes and tasks and assignments
• Communicate with key committee and board members
• Follow up to ensure completion of Committee and Board action items

Non-Essential Functions:
• Serve on staff ad-hoc committees when needed
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working in a non-profit, development or administrative support position, especially during a capital campaign
• Project management know-how
• Extraordinary verbal and written communications skills for the workplace
• Knowledge of prospect identification and research for development goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with basic budgeting for an organization
• Experience using Raiser’s Edge
• High detail orientation, discretion and can maintain confidentiality
• Can build effective relationships with all stakeholders with professionalism, enthusiasm, and care
• High emotional intelligence: can listen well to others, build understanding, and handle challenging situations with grace
• A collaborative nature with the ability to quickly establish credibility and gain the trust and support of colleagues, donors, and volunteers
• Thrives in a fast-paced setting with multiple coinciding projects
• A team player with a sense of humor, tolerance for change, and demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive culture
• This position will be mostly remote, but there will be in-office time, as well
• Must reside in the Twin Cities metro area
• Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle for any necessary travel

Hiring Bonus: Applicants that apply for this position prior to December 31, 2021, and are hired for this position are eligible for a $400 sign on incentive.
$200 will be added to their first full pay period check (two full weeks). $200 will be added to their first paycheck after the successful completion of 90 days if the employee is actively employed by NH. Employees whose employment is terminated, voluntarily or involuntarily, before 90 days will not be eligible for the second incentive payment.
