Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault | Saint Paul, MNSalary Range: Minimum - $68,000 – $73,000
The Development and Communications Director will be primarily responsible for establishing strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of organizational communications and messaging, while also being directly responsible for planning and executing strategies to increase revenue through the solicitation and securing of individual gifts, government grants, fundraising event sales, corporate gifts, foundation grants, and in-kind support. This position is expected to be a strategic communication partner to all program areas of MNCASA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Communications
- Work closely with leadership team as the communications leader to develop and support the organization’s strategic initiatives.
- Direct and implement communications strategy to promote the work of MNCASA.
- Supervise website and social media management strategy.
- Supervise design and graphics messaging.
- Create and maintain a communications schedule, adjusting as needed throughout the year given changes in circumstances and strategic work plan.
- Serve as media point of contact, including drafting all press releases and organizing press conferences.
Fundraising
- Provide research on funding trends, new opportunities, fundraising challenges, and best practices in fundraising.
- Diversify organizational revenue sources through increased philanthropic funds.
- Create and execute successful annual fund development plan, building upon and enhancing current funding sources and strategies including government grants, while growing individual, corporate, and foundation giving.
