SUMMARY:
Eden Prairie Community Foundation (EPCF) is seeking an experienced Executive Director (ED) to lead the foundation and execute on the mission and strategic plan. This person should excel at building strong relationships with current and potential donors, understand how to lead the organization through its strategic initiatives, and be passionate about supporting and connecting nonprofits. In this role the ED will promote and encourage collaboration among teams, demonstrate confident leadership, be willing to be the ambassador and development director for the foundation and have a strong welcoming community presence.
The ED provides leadership to the Board regarding fundraising activities, grant opportunities and progress in strategic initiatives. The ED supports the Board including board engagement, recruitment, committee work, and ensures the Board has the tools and information needed to fulfill its responsibilities.
This individual will oversee an annual operating budget of $400,000 along with total assets of just under $2 million. The ED will need to have business acumen to directly oversee the implementation of the strategic plan, donor development, grant giving and fundraising.
The Eden Prairie Community Foundation aims to touch the lives, in some way, for all Eden Prairie residents. This objective is completed through the following activities:

- Connecting neighbors
- Hosting events

Position Responsibilities:
Leadership:
- Organizational leader and manager
- Oversight of strategic plan execution
- Budget development and oversight
- Spokesperson for EPCF
- People manager (currently one part time administrative assistant and volunteers)
Community Involvement:
- Board and committee member
- Spokesperson for EPCF
- Oversight for HUB development
- Oversight for grant making process
- Welcoming of various identities and diverse perspectives
Donor Development
- Development of Philanthropic relationships
- Manage Internal and external communications
- Campaign development for giving events and donor development
- External community building
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three to five years executive management experience, preferably in the non- profit sector
- A demonstrated ability to implement a strategic plan, set measurable goals, communicate, and evaluate success
- Experience with managing finances: including budgeting, managing profit and loss, gift acknowledgment, bookkeeping, fundraising and donor development
- Demonstrated experience collaborating, communicating, and supporting initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and familiarity with various digital channels
- Experience with promotions, event management and sponsorship development
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relations with diverse individuals, volunteers’ organizations, and government agencies
- A commitment to individual and organizational learning with an orientation toward cultural humility and curiosity.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Bachelor of Arts required; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Benefits: Self-Managed PTO, a stipend for health care is provided (single coverage). Technology allowance to be negotiated. A contribution to a retirement fund to a max of 3%. Reviews conducted annually by Board Chair. Employment agreement provided.
Physical Requirements: This position works in an administrative office environment that is ADA compliant. A hybrid option is available. Office hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., with scheduling adjustments to accommodate program fulfillment. Evenings and weekends may be required for event preparation and participation.
