Since 1992, Wallin Education Partners has helped increase access to college and degree completion for lower income students by partnering with high schools, donors, community organizations, and civic leaders to support more than 5,000 students on their college journeys.

The Position
Wallin Education Partners (Wallin) is seeking a Senior Development Officer to join our team. We are looking for a professional with significant nonprofit development experience who is passionate about increasing educational opportunity and who is excited to play an essential role in the continued growth of our organization. Working closely with executive leadership, this person plans and implements strategies to advance the mission of Wallin.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities
Fundraising and Organizational Advancement(75%)
Effectively execute Wallin’s development plan in collaboration with the executive leaders, and members of
Wallin advancement team
Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donor relationships
Identify new funding streams such as high-net-worth individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies Increase the number and quality of donor prospects through visits, research, and networking
Strengthen the annual fund through identification of new donors, enhancement of the donor stewardship plan and increasing monthly giving
Plan and execute special fundraising campaigns and donor events
Oversee grant application and report submissions to local and national foundations
Work with marketing and program staff to create presentations and customize outreach materials
Represent Wallin Education Partners at small and large events to increase awareness of the program
Oversee the planning and execution of events for donors

Administration (25%)
Develop regular revenue and cultivation reports
Donor pledge form management
Oversee management of donor and alumni database
Ensure accurate gift processing in coordination with the Development Associate

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
Minimum of seven years of related experience with proven track record in fundraising and gift solicitation
Knowledge of donor development trends and practices
Familiarity with donor data management tools
Understanding of issues impacting students from low-income backgrounds and underserved populations in postsecondary education
Excellent organizational and communication skills including public speaking
