Job Description:
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Help the University maintain a close and ongoing relationship with its alumni and friends by maintaining information about individuals and organizations and their support of the college. Perform a variety of complex duties associated with highly confidential gift processing function.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and maintain protocols and procedures for receiving, recording, receipting and acknowledging in a timely way gifts from all sources including cash, stock, matching gifts, insurance, pay-roll deductions and other deferred gifts.
  • Enters pledges and pledge payments, processes matching gifts, and generates institutional donor acknowledgements letters.
  • Establish and maintain an ongoing relationship with the Business Office staff in ensuring that gifts are received and transmitted according to University policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and account for college-owned insurance policies.
  • Review gift entry work completed by Advancement staff members.
  • Assist in developing a recurring gift program.
  • Maintains system of matching gift company documentation and matches in-progress.
  • Produce routine daily, monthly and special reports and reconciliation with accounting cords.
  • Maintain the Raiser's Edge database by updating constituent records.
  • In consultation with Alumni and Development Departments, design and maintain a portfolio of regular periodic reports incorporating information from Raiser's Edge system.

Requirements:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 2 year post-secondary degree or higher required
  • Three (3) years relevant experience required.
  • Specialized knowledge, skills, abilities with Microsoft Applications and Microsoft Windows required.
  • Fundraising experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Raiser's Edge software required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Typical work environment is an office and in a sedentary position
  • Regular computer use
