Scholarships

AFP Minnesota offers a number of opportunities to help fundraising professionals with membership and conference costs.

AFP Minnesota Chapter Scholarships

Please check back in September 2023 for more details regarding the 2024 scholarships.

In alignment with AFP Minnesota's 2020 Strategic Framework, our key goals for these scholarships are to remove barriers for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), fundraisers from smaller organizations, and members who will be deeply engaged in AFP's work to support and improve the fundraising profession.

Chamberlain Scholarship (AFP International Conference)

This scholarship covers the full registration fee for the AFP International Conference, (minus a $10 processing fee) to defray expenses associated with attendance at AFP’s International Conference. In addition, AFP Minnesota is contributing a $500 stipend toward travel expenses to the scholarship recipient. The 2024 AFP International Conference will be held in Toronto, Canada.

The scholarship covers all but $10 of the basic conference registration fee; recipients are responsible for all travel and lodging. Please review expenses on the conference website before applying. Preference will be given to candidates with less than 5 years of fundraising experience, whose organizations could not otherwise support attendance, and candidates who are members of AFP Minnesota.

Young Professionals Membership

AFP Minnesota offers a reduced cost membership for professionals who are 30 years old or under. The total “Young Professionals” membership price is just $95 ($65 + $30 Minnesota chapter dues.)
